The Candle made from 100% Eco Soya Wax is due to be launched the 1st of August 2011.

The new candle with a burning time of around 50 hours will retail around £15.99 will be available in the following scents.

With our new app you will be able see all ore colours and products and purchase them by the click of a button.

Whats more we are developing a system where you can take a photo and see what the walls, ceiling in any one of our 72 colours.

MD Marc Thompson adds, this is such a great little tool that can be used in and around your home. just think that you can take a photo of your lounge on your iphone and change the colours of walls to any of our 72 colours which will give you an idea instantly what the room will look like.

Harris & Thompson Paint Association With Oxtreegen

Harris & Thompson Paint Company have welcomed its association with Oxtreegen.

When Harris & Thompson Launch its new Eco friendly paint in May of this year all our tins will have the oxtreegen logo on our tins.

Managing Director Marc Thompson who designed all the new colours and was the brain child behind the new Eco paint told us this week.

" Oxtreegen is a fantastic organisation and we are proud be be linked with these guys."

Oxtreegen is committed to reducing our carbon footprint that we leave behind as business's

Its aim is to reduce Co2 emission by planting trees locally and in the UK.

"this is a local organisation and i was unaware of them and it was only by chance that they came to light to us. On viewing their website i was so impressed with the ethos i just could not wait to contact them and discuss working together."

"Every year we buy contractors and customers a bottle of wine, but then i thought how much better it would be if we brought them a tree to plant, how much more fun this was and better for everyone involved."

Harris & Thompson Awarded Runner up in the West Oxfordshire Business Awards 2011 in the New Business Category

A great night was had by all at the first West Oxfordshire Business Awards 2011 held at Eynsham Hall on Friday 11Th 2011.

Harris and Thompson reached the final of the small business category.

Managing Director Marc Thompson Told us " It is always a great honour and achievement to reach any kind of final whether it sporting or business. This was extremely special for us as we are a new business, and we started this in the worst recession since the 1930's against a lot of odds. We are very proud to have got the runners up award and of course it would have been nice to have won but there is always next year to aspire to. We were up against some very tough competition last night , however I'm very pleased for bush craft who won on the evening and it was well deserved".

It was also a great night for Cornbury Park business park as two of the award winners both have businesses on the park.

We would like to thanks all our staff foe their hard work and of course to all our customers as if it was not for them we would not have a business.

Johnstones Paint Trophy

The Harris & Thompson Five A Side Team

On Sunday 24Th Feb 2011 Harris & Thompson entered a team in the Johnstones 5 aside Paint Trophy over in Milton Keynes.

"In rained all day" Said Marc Thompson Managing Director

"We did put out a very good team, well we were 15 years ago however i think we may all be passed it now. The rain just kept falling from the sky until we were soaked through.

Sadly we lost in the second round, but it was a good day out and good for management to get involved with our staff out of work."

A brand new paint brand for spring 2011

The Harris & Thompson Paint Company

Last year Harris & Thompson acquired the Little Cotswold Paint Company adding to its portfolio.

The company was a small family business that would provide the building blocks for releasing our very own paints.

Little Cotswold would be re branded with a new logo and new colour pallet during 2011.

This in tern lead to the formation of The Harris & Thompson Paint Company which would produce heritage and Eco friendly Paints.

A colour pallet of 60 new heritage colours have been designed by MD, Marc Thompson.

The first 20 Colour Names have been released today.

Sunday The 24Th Of February 2011 Harris & Thompson will have a team entered in to the Johnstones Paint Trophy Five aside Tournament held at Milton Keynes.

The final is held at Wembley before the start of the Johnstones Paint Final.
We are very happy to announce that Crown Paints have decided to sponsor the Harris and Thompson Team.


Manager and Harris & Thompson Director Jeff Harris added "We don't expect to get to the final by any means, however it is a good day day out for the staff. If we do win (ha ha ha ha ) then this would be a bonus"

New Colour Tinting Machine for 2011

New Colour Tinting Machine Arrives For The Little Cotswold Paint Company

Harris & Thompson have taken delivery of a new colour tinting machine in ready for the re generation of the Little Cotswold Paint Company.

In 2010 the company took over the Cotswold company with a view to re branding the company and producing a brand new range of Eco friendly paints.
The company will produce an exciting range of new colours that will be available in the spring of 2011.

Marc Thompson Managing Director adds " Our paint colours are still in development although most have now been produced. The company's aim has always been to give the best service we can as we do with the decorating side of our business, so when producing our new paint every consideration was taken in to place.
Not only did it have to be Eco friendly it had to be user friendly and durable" he says.
" when testing our exterior paint, painted wood was taken to Spain to test in the heat and Germany to test in wet and damp conditions" he adds " we were not prepared to put to market a product that was not going to last with the ever changing climate".

So look out in the spring for this exciting new paint .
