Speaking to him he told us "two years in the making this is ! "
Two years ago he set out to design 78 historic colours from the past and turn these ideas and colours in to actual paint. The ethos was to produce an environmentally friendly and sustainable paint with a view that you do not need to compromise on high performance or sacrifice quality to make a safer environment without losing the quality of a good paint.

He adds "This new paint is not only exceptional to use but is also better for the user, the end user and the environment."

With low overheads we were also able to keep the price competitive and lower that major players in the paint making market.

New Paint Shop

Harris & Thompson have become the first painters and decorators to launch their own brand of paint.

This co insides with the opening of their first paint shop in the market town of Charlbury in Oxfordshire.

The company produce an historic Collection with 78 period colours to inspire any property.

The paint can also be mixed in Ral number colours and Bs ( British Standard Colours ) giving you a huge choice of colour to chose from.

The paint which is environmentally friendly and made from sustainable sources comes in a wide range of products

The inspiration behind this move is Managing Director Marc Thompson who also designed the 78 historic colour pallet.

On speaking to Marc he informed us, " we have always been a think outside the box company"

" This move in to our own branded tin of paint was a bold move but we believed their was a market for a great paint with amazing colours at a good price. This move takes us in to a new dimension of decorating, we not only provide the decorating works but also can provide the materials in house at short notice saving us time and helping the project Finnish on time or quicker. This new paint is Eco friendly and drys much quicker than normal conventional paints. It has no solvents and offers very little odour so is safer for the decorator and the client living in

those rooms"

Harris & Thompson Reach Finals For Second Year Running

Think outside the box business Harris & Thompson have reached the finals of West Oxfordshire's Business Of The Year for the second year in a row.

The Cotswold decorating company that launched its own brand of paint in November of last year were runners up in the new business category in 2011.

However this year the company has gone one better by reaching the finals of 2012 in not just the Best New Business but also in Best Small Business.

MD, Marc Thompson told us " I'm just blown away by the news, i can't actually take it in at the moment"
he adds " We have all worked very hard this year to make this business work. This is not just down to me but all our staff who i regard as friends more that employees. As a company we are only as good as the people that work for us, and they have helped achieve this not just me. From the office staff to the people who work on site and create the results, we are all just one big team.

The Candle made from 100% Eco Soya Wax is due to be launched the 1st of August 2011.

With our new app you will be able see all ore colours and products and purchase them by the click of a button.

Whats more we are developing a system where you can take a photo and see what the walls, ceiling in any one of our 72 colours.

MD Marc Thompson adds, this is such a great little tool that can be used in and around your home. just think that you can take a photo of your lounge on your iphone and change the colours of walls to any of our 72 colours which will give you an idea instantly what the room will look like.

Harris & Thompson Paint Association With Oxtreegen

Harris & Thompson Paint Company have welcomed its association with Oxtreegen.

When Harris & Thompson Launch its new Eco friendly paint in May of this year all our tins will have the oxtreegen logo on our tins.

Managing Director Marc Thompson who designed all the new colours and was the brain child behind the new Eco paint told us this week.

" Oxtreegen is a fantastic organisation and we are proud be be linked with these guys."
